HMI Meeting
Hyperbolic Geometry Workshop
The two-day hyperbolic geometry
workshop will consist of a morning mini-course on hyperbolic geometry
followed by an afternoon lecture series. In keeping with the mission of
the HMI, the conference will focus on the connections between
hyperbolic geometry and related areas such as low-dimensional topology,
geometric group theory, geometric analysis, dynamics, and complex
hyperbolic geometry.
The mini-course is directed at
graduate students and non-experts to provide an introduction to
hyperbolic geometry and the background needed to participate in the
afternoon lecture series. The lecture series will consist of research
talks on hyperbolic geometry and related areas.
7-8 October 2005 Trinity College,
Dublin, Ireland.
Speakers
- Noel Brady (University of
Oklahoma, USA)
- Martin Bridson (Imperial College London, England)
